Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu-Dej (now Onesti] Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to receive a score of a perfect of 10 during an Olympic event. Bela Karrolyi was the Romanian gymnastics coach who later became her coach in later years found her around the age of six. Comaneci competed for the first time at the national junior championships and finished 13th. Following that, she was crowned champion. At her first international event in 1972 she came out on top by winning three gold awards. Her first senior competition in 1975 she beat the Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva, the five-time European champ winning four gold medals and one silver. The first female ever to perform reverse double saltos after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 in Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her career as an entertainer in her teens. She started her career performing figure skating along with Nina Wayne, her younger sister as part of traveling entertainment show Ice Capades. The shows featured skaters who were followed by musical performances.
