April Lockhart
April Lockhart is a born on July 4, 1995. When she was in the 7th grade, she started taking guitar lessons and piano lessons. This ignited her passion for songwriting. When she was in seventh grade, April began taking guitar and piano classes. It sparked her interest to write songs. When she was 14 April was devoted for a long period of time to making song lyrics and working on her musical skills. In the following months, April started to take trips in NY and LA along with her dad so that they could both write songs. April added other themes to the song "Take My Hand" to help her friends who dealt with problems like peer pressure, problems, as well as teenage suicide. Lockhart, a popular lifestyle influencer as well as working in partnerships with brands that are clean and healthy like Ilia, has built a large audience. The disability she has is part of her personality, but it's not all of the image. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not just focus on the issue. What message is it sending? We are all more than our physical selves. Our identities are multifaceted and encompass a variety of aspects. I do not want this to be the only thing that defines me. I don't intend to become an influencer where that's all I speak about since there are other things about me Lockhart says via video from her house in Nashville. My day-today life is not affected by it. I live my normal day-to-day life and discover myself solutions for problems. This is a major part of my life, so it is important to discuss it. Lockhart has been a great source of inspiration for her female friends with regards to self-acceptance. She admits that she's been through periods of being uncomfortable with her body and sometimes being unsure about wearing specific types of clothes that showed how much of her body. She dresses according to her preferences and is proud to post pictures of herself in the outfits she wears on social media. For her, self-love is an extended process. However, I believe that's the case common to everyone regardless of what their insecurity is. It is important to have people around you who are aware of and can relate to your situation. They will be the ones asking you: What do you think about?
