Katherine Heigl has opened her mind about being raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how the realisation has impacted how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In an interview with actress Katherine Heigl, who plays "Firefly Lane", as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actress shared her looks didn't bother her. But after talking to her adoptive sister in South Korea about how society had treated them, she was aware of the stark differences the two were. I asked Meg if when she was going out with her parents she was treated with a specific manner but when she was on her own, she got a completely different treatment. She said: 'Oh yes, I've seen the whole thing I've seen it all! Heigl admitted to her parents that this made her realize the extent of her ignorance. Heigl said she got angry and felt that it was crucial to put her anger towards helping the adopted children she has. Heigl has a son of four years with Josh Kelley, her husband for 13 years. They adopted their daughter Nancy Leigh, 12, from South Korea in 2009 and Adalaide eight, who is Black, in 2012.
